Aspects of Segregation in Helsinki

Segregation is a global phenomenon. It can also be seen in Helsinki. Students from five countries came together to research and produce radio feature programs on the topic in early June 2023.
The programmes studied the gentrification of the Kallio district, the use of urban space and placemaking by Helsinki residents, metropolitan areas outside the city centre, and the so-called school shopping phenomenon. Listen to all the programs here.
